Here in southern Maine we had an unusually snowy November. Many of us didn’t have time to rake leaves before the snow came. Here is a timely short poem by William Carlos Williams.
Warm holiday wishes to all.
WINTER TREES
All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.
